Weingut Mathern’s first Sekt ever made “à la méthode champegnoise”! Each bottle was more than 24 months on the yeast for its second fermentation.
That creates a wonderful mousseux, combining the outstanding fruitiness of Riesling with rich texture of the Dornfelder grapes. The grapes were harvested and fermented together.
